Spawn's Violater's + Spider-Man's Carnage=Violater possess by the Carnage symbiote

Mortal Combat Scorpion and Sub-Zero + Cola Cola and Pepsi

I think the first would be a good fit for this account's FAN ART section while the later as a light gag drawing would be good for my comic strip BLEACH and CLOTH on my LOSTgnosis account.

That all said and for the hey of it here goes some of the cooler images I found while looking for refs for Carnage and Violater on dA...

Carnage VS Violater

Not the best drawing I ever seen but not the worst either and I have to give the person credit for being the only person on dA as far as I saw who has drawn these psychos together.

Violater

I like how ghostly this depiction of the character is.

I like the small details of this depiction.  I like the addition nasal cavities, the hardness (often Violater looks bumpy and rubbery), that despite the rib showing it looks solid and the shagginess of it with the jagged horns and tufts of hair.

I like how in this depiction yet again Violater isn't all bumpy and rubbery but rather muscular, mangled and wrinkly all at the same time.

Carnage

<da:thumb id="74866641"/>
I am not a fan of the more modern look of carnage as a skinless man with a monster face I think the black ooze element of the original 90s design for the characters keep the design from being too easy and gives it some pop that said black ooze is a beyotch to draw.  This take on the character has a nice simple solution to the problem Spidey's classic webbing pattern over the red ;)

I like how ghostly and oozy this takes feels (anything that keeps carnage from being just a skinless man with a monster face is good in my book LoL).  That said I am on the fence about the limited black that said like with the illustration above I think they came up with a smart practical solution in having the black essentially be veins showing through the red.

I like how this depiction says f*** the red and embrace the BLACK!!!  It is almost as if Carnage is made of shadow here ;)

The classic Mark Bagley style for the character.  Hmm looking at it bleeding black over blood red might be a more proper description for the design...

Makes me think of a mangled tree...

like the one above it feels more solid but this time due to the handling of the black

Slime trying to be human with cracks in it.

Same artist as above piece.  The cropping makes Carnage feel like a symbiotic boogeyman that can just ooze and bleed his way out of the shadows suddenly to kill your ass.

Interesting take with Carnage looking skinless but still fleshy color due to the white, feels bleed dry but bloody.  Very paradoxical.

Vines with thorns all coming from a wicked hearts and bones...

Feels and looks like blood splatter pooling together to form Carnage.

The symbiote is the web and the web is the symbiote...

Some thoughts on combining the two...

Both have exaggerate extended movement.  Violater with his elongated body and limbs and top heavy form.  Carnage with his Mr. Fantastic on a murdering spree after skinning himself look.

That said I like Violater when he is more solid and Carnage when he is more loose.  Maybe I can have both... I could have Violater have a solid, mangled and wrinkled look paired with where his body is dislocated and/or pulling itself apart to extend itself through the Carnage symbiote.  With the black of carnage I could incorporate black veins where Violater is solid, bleeding more where he is extended and having black in the nooks and crannies to give a shadowy look.  That all said sounds like a good plan to ya all?

PS If and when I do draw Violater Carnage I might have to draw him fighting my Angela Redeemer mash-up

I won't look at my feet and dick the same way again for a while...

Decarabia by HystericalMellotron this one scares the poo out of me

Lola by LadyKuki cute and creepy at the same time even more so when seen next to his just simply cute OCs

The Exorcist by Jade-Abarai-Kat the crosses and rosaries are the extra details that make this one work for me

Daily Sketch 355: heads that are dead by ReluctantZombie Daily Sketch 335: JESUS, Mal by ReluctantZombie The binding details (loose wires and freely seen electric current) and the outright macabre details are nicely use together in these designs.

The Black Gate by KieranTPetersonLoL first thought was if they decorated a gate like this in the Walking Dead comic book than the twins they might have got the message that the neighborhood the twins' mom died at was bad news LoL

<da:thumb id="379308696"/> I like the many limbs and wings together with the mask and combo of feathers and fur and humanoid elements.

<da:thumb id="381234756"/> I like this character design but not the presentation of it in the creator's other pieces of the character.  This is the best of the bunch and a rare try by them to have a full illustration (having and background and what not).

<da:thumb id="378265932"/>I like the natural colors and the tribal markings and lack of super crazy stuff like fire tails.

hijab/shayla?

2 min read
Let me share a story base research question that has came up in my working on a story of mines which I ask a friend about:

SERAPH6283
Hey Laila I been writing a story and I have a character that is a jinn/seraph (don't ask just note the story is base somewhat on fiction and not just my relgion views) that disguises itself as hijab and at the command of a character of mines protects a young girls name Rilya (short for Remember I Love You Always). Anyhow I wanted to know if their are hijabs that are long and scarf like (or long and thin like a snake). If there are that you know of do you know of more specfic name of. I have seen scarfs use as hijab that match such appearance but figure I ask you about for more info.

LAILA-JIHAD
Hey thanks for the message. Hijabs do come in all different sizes and shapes. The rectangular and long are called Shaylas the general term of hijab usually refers to the square kind that gets folded in half.

SERAPH6283
thank for the info. That said it isn't totally incorrect only not as correct or specific as possible to refer to a shayla as a hijab? While I prefer to be accurate at the same time I don't want to be so OCD about 110% correct term usage that the repeated usage of a term goes over readers heads.

^^ I say that last bit becasue the hijab/shayla is a major part/character in the story.

THOUGHTS?  Better to use the term that more people know even if it isn't the "most correct" for ease of reader compreshension without the aid of wikipedia and what not.  Or better to use the as accurate as possible term which might pull people out of the flow of a story becasue they have to look up what the hell it is.

Also I think a simliar issue came up in New X-Men in regards to the character Dust.

news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20110625/t… About damn time.  Religion and marriage do not correlate.  Civil marriage is a right of both "gays and straights."  If a house of worship doesn't beleive in gay marriage then don't have it in your house of worship.  For that manner if you don't beleive in gay marriage then don't go to gay marriage.  Me I prefer not to go to any marriages LoL.  Still I like to see civil rights and freedom of religion supported regardless of what I want tor don't want for myself.  So congrats New Yorkers!

PS For those that feel they can't accept the news on basis of being Jew, Christian, or Muslim (esp. the later two) aren't you suppose to want for others what you want for yourself?  Isn't it in the eyes of your faith to be mery to your partner then not?  Can't say you are a proper Christian or Muslim if you don't support gay marriage as far as I am concern.
